My RGK made-to-measure wheelchair.

THE OCTANE SUB4 - THE RGK MADE TO MEASURE TITANIUM DAILY WHEELCHAIR.

MALLORY WEGGEMANN - TEAM USA PARALYMPIC SWIMMER.

From the moment I transitioned from my old wheelchair into my RGK Octane Sub4, I knew my life was about to change. The stark difference was like night and day, and it filled me with excitement for the possibilities that lay ahead. This blog post is a heartfelt tribute to my Octane Sub4, the wheelchair that has seamlessly become a part of my identity and has empowered and aided me to achieve incredible feats.

I gained a new level of mobility. Before my Octane Sub4, I was an active wheelchair user, but this chair took my mobility to a new level. From the first few effortless pushes, I could feel the difference. The fit of my new made to measure wheelchair made it incredibly functional, making daily tasks and activities ten times easier. One significant change between my Sub4 and my previous wheelchairs was the shift in my centre of gravity, which made the chair feel more "tippy." Surprisingly, this seemingly small adjustment made a world of difference in terms of functionality and manoeuvrability to me. And I'm sure by the excitement and shock on my face you can also see how incredibly light my Sub4 is (Less than 4KG!!!) and I can't even begin to explain the unbelievable difference this has made in my everyday life. This incredibly lightweight wheelchair has made tasks such as getting in and out of the car and pushing so much easier.

The Octane Sub4 isn't just a mobility aid; it's an integral part of who I am. From the moment I started using it, there was no disconnect between myself and the wheelchair; it is my legs. I feel strong, confident, and at one with my wheelchair, which has had a profound impact on my daily life. Moreover, I appreciate the fact that the Sub4 isn't just practical but stylish too, giving me a sense of empowerment and self-assurance. It feels so good to look back on all of the things I have achieved in a wheelchair that I look and feel good in.

Reflecting on my time with the Octane Sub4, I am amazed at the places it has taken me and the accomplishments I've achieved. Taking me to some of the most memorable moments of my life. I've won Paralympic gold and been on the podium three times. But its influence on my life goes far beyond sports.

The Octane Sub4 has been my companion in my global adventures. Thanks to its compact and portable design, it sometimes fits in the cabin with me during air travel, allowing me to explore new places with ease and without fear of it getting lost or damaged. From the bustling streets of vibrant cities to serene watersides, my wheelchair has opened up a world of possibilities for me.

Beyond the pool and travels, my Octane Sub4 has also played a significant role in breaking barriers and promoting inclusion. I am proud to have modeled for a fashion brand, where my wheelchair was celebrated as a symbol of diversity and representation.

And of course my Octane Sub4 takes me to the water, one of my favourite places.

The Octane Sub4 has been transformative in my life, empowering me to achieve, explore, and embrace myself. Its functionality, style, and versatility have elevated my mobility experience to a whole new level. From the Paralympic podiums to the runway it fills me with a deep sense of pride and confidence. My Octane Sub4.
